Alan Bunker founded Spectrum Field Services, along with two partners, in 1987. As a CPA and MBA, Alan has enjoyed an extensive career as a top executive in the public accounting, retail department store, real estate development, health care, and software industries.

Alan Bunker founded Spectrum Field Services, along with two partners, in 1987. As a CPA and MBA, Alan has enjoyed an extensive career as a top executive in the public accounting, retail department store, real estate development, health care, and software industries. 

Early in his career, Alan also worked as an Adjunct Professor of Accounting at the University of Utah. As a Senior Consultant with KPMG (Peat Marwick) in San Francisco, he performed numerous consulting engagements in the savings and loan industry, and for several federal and state agencies. He worked for a number of years for the Auerbach’s Department Stores chain, where he was the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He later became the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of a real estate development firm, with major multi-family residential projects in Texas, Colorado, and Washington.

Most recently, Mr. Bunker has been heavily involved in the field service industry, and related associations, for over 35 years. He has periodically contributed articles to industry publications and has chaired several committees and panels, including committees responsible for the development of field service standards and procedures, and technology advances for the industry. With Spectrum as a long-time member of the National Association of Mortgage Field Services (NAMFS), Alan served as a member of the Board of Directors as well as a president of that organization.

Melissa Bunker (Missi) has worked for Spectrum Field Services for over 25 years. During that time, she has had the experience of working in almost every department at Spectrum, including several in managerial roles.

From 2005 to 2011, she served as the Human Resources Director. As the HR Director, she had to adapt to the man

Melissa Bunker (Missi) has worked for Spectrum Field Services for over 25 years. During that time, she has had the experience of working in almost every department at Spectrum, including several in managerial roles.

From 2005 to 2011, she served as the Human Resources Director. As the HR Director, she had to adapt to the many nation-wide policy changes, especially in Employment Law, that affected the field services industry. 

In late 2011, Missi accepted a new role as the Managing Director for the Company, and was responsible for the variety of services performed by Spectrum, including everything from standard foreclosure inspections and property preservation, to specialized commercial and residential property inspections. Since 2019, Missi has served Spectrum as the President & Chief Operating Officer. She has had the opportunity to bring Spectrum through the struggles presented by COVID as well as the fluctuating commercial real estate industry and economy.

Missi received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Utah and a Master of Business Administration from Westminster College. She also earned a Certificate of Strategic Management, Business Administration and Management from Harvard University.

Missi’s favorite thing in the world is her dog, Ted Williams, and she loves taking him to parks, on hikes, and just hanging out with him. She’s also a big fan of Baseball – especially the Boston Red Sox – and has been known to schedule work trips around “home games.”

When Devin joined Spectrum Field Services in 2005, he already had over 15 years’ experience working in the services and Human Resources industries. From his work with Lexis Nexis, servicing Fortune 500 companies, to his work at Franklin Covey, Devin brought a wealth of experience with customer relations and sales, amongst other valuable expertise.

As an executive with Spectrum, Devin has been instrumental at building long-lasting business relationships with our clients. He is an expert at creating solutions that save our clients both time and money. He is highly respected for providing efficient and valuable responses to questions from both colleagues and clients, for being willing to give our clients the attention they deserve, and for sharing his wealth of knowledge gained from over 20 years with Spectrum.

Devin studied Business Administration both at Salt Lake Community College, where he received an Associate of Science degree, as well as at Utah State University where he received a Bachelor of Science.

Devin enjoys mixing business with pleasure on the golf course. He is also a devoted sports fan, and particularly likes following his college and NFL teams.

Leading Spectrum’s Specialty Inspections Department, Heather serves all those with whom she works with precision, tact, and care. Since beginning her career in the field service industry with FASRE Field Services in 1997, Heather has gained valuable industry knowledge that cannot be easily replicated. She has worked both in managing employees and inspectors and in collaborating with clients. In her career, she has handled every stage of the business: recruiting, training, and managing inspectors and employees. She has also been involved in on-boarding new clients, managing inspection performance and quality control.

Delivering high-quality and timely results to clients, who have national and sometimes international footprints, is paramount. Having a steady hand managing the various processes that go into the final product is Heather’s specialty. Her wealth of industry knowledge and experience is evident in the ease with which she navigates complex issues and how she identifies and then resolves potential complications.

In her personal life, Heather earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Utah State University. She enjoys spending time in the outdoors gardening and hiking. And she and her husband love to travel whenever they get the chance.

Kevin Tovar’s career at Spectrum Field Services began over two decades ago. Since then, Kevin’s experience with Spectrum has been far-reaching, gaining him experience in all aspects of the Company. More recently, he has advanced through roles in project management and product development, all of which led him to assuming the leadership role in the IT Department.

As the IT Manager at Spectrum, he leads technology operations, strategy, and innovation. He has been instrumental in driving Spectrum’s digital transformation – leading cloud migrations, strengthening cybersecurity, and enabling seamless remote work. Recognized for balancing strategic vision with practical execution, Kevin collaborates across infrastructure, support, and development teams to streamline operations, align technology with business priorities, and position the company for growth.

Outside of work, Kevin can be found camping in Utah’s mountains, deserts, and lakes; riding SxS trails through the mountains, sand dunes, or backroads less traveled; and spending weekends at the lake on wave runners or relaxing on the shore. At home, Kevin enjoys experimenting in the kitchen – modifying recipes as he cooks to create something uniquely his own.

Quinn is a Utah-born, Arizona-raised, and back-to-Utah-practicing HR professional.  After graduating from Utah State University with a BS in Marriage and Family Therapy, Quinn used that education to transition into the HR field. He has been a professional HR Manager since 2001, working in such industries as retail, manufacturing, and now, field services.

He is a master at communication, and he enjoys helping employees understand company benefits, training employees on new and current policies, and assisting Spectrum in any way he can to accomplish its goals.

Outside of work, Quinn loves spending time with his family (consisting of his wife, seven children, one grand-daughter, and three dogs), performing in community theatre shows, and playing D&D.

Sherry's unique blend of operational and accounting knowledge enables her to excel in her role, making significant contributions to the company's success. And because of Sherry’s vast experience with Spectrum, she is an excellent resource for both those in, and out of, the Company.

Sherry is an avid DIYer. She is not afraid to tackle and complete a variety of projects.  She enjoys crafting stained glass and a variety of other craft projects.  Her husband, a retired Air Force veteran with an impressive 25-year career, has been a steadfast support throughout her various endeavors.  Sherry is the mother to two adult sons.  She is a devoted animal lover. She shares her home with a sassy Newfoundland and a super smart German Shepherd, both of whom bring a sense of joy to her everyday life. In addition to her dogs, Sherry is also the proud caretaker of a Chinchilla that is now 18 years old.

With over 25 years of experience in building client relationships, account management, and sales, Michael Taylor is a seasoned Client Relationship Manager at Spectrum Field Services. Specializing in supporting clients in the field services industry, he excels in managing inspection orders, follow-ups, completed report delivery, and billing processes.

Throughout his career, Michael has demonstrated a deep understanding of clients’ needs, building strong, lasting relationships with both domestic and international retail customers, casino gaming corporations, government contractors, and major retailers. His role involves not only managing client expectations but also ensuring seamless communication and service delivery, helping clients streamline their operational processes.

Before joining Spectrum Field Services, Michael held positions that honed his expertise in account management and sales across diverse industries. His extensive background in these areas has enabled him to develop a results-oriented approach to client service, consistently driving satisfaction and loyalty.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family and friends and is an avid sports and recreation fan. He loves to cook and is currently mastering his pizza-making skills.

Prior to joining the Spectrum team in 2016, Jense already had over 10 years’ experience working in many areas of the field services industry, giving him the expertise needed to ensure his clients get the best possible results. Jense has gone the extra mile and become a certified inspector as well, so he knows exactly what is required on both sides of the inspection process to prove a high-quality report.

A devoted University of Utah fan, Jense is also a graduate of the “U” with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History. He is also very passionate about America’s Pastime, and when on the road, Jense will make time to attend a game or at least tour a major league ballpark.

Chyenne Ludwig has over a decade of experience with Spectrum, specializing in ensuring high quality inspections are sent to each of our clients.  With almost five years supervising our Quality Control Team, she has been able to inspire each team member to continually exceed expectations. Chyenne came to Spectrum with several years of experience working in a variety of capacities within the banking industry. Chyenne is the proud mother of two teenagers who keep her very busy.  Her family also includes 18 chickens, 2 ducks, 2 dogs, and 3 cats.  You can often catch her in her garden, and canning her harvest in the fall months.  She loves watching the University of Utah Utes Football Team, and is an avid fan of the Utah Jazz.
